How Nine Mile Clothing Met MIAMI!
Nine Mile Clothing finally made its big debut in Miami, and as you can imagine, it was a movie! The hottest Caribbean lifestyle brand met the sizzling South Florida streets in a major star-studded fashion showcase at the famous Wynwood Yard! It was one of those “you definitely had to be there” events, but in case you weren’t, we are going to try our best to give you a quick rundown of the big Nine Mile Clothing fashion show in the 305!
Founder and designer of Nine Mile Clothing, Princess Booker got the ball rolling with an interview on Hot 105.1 FM during the Reggae Runnins segment with host, DJ Tanto Irie. Against the backdrop of some your favorite Reggae tunes, Princess gave listeners a quick overview of Nine Mile Clothing, the inspiration behind the brand and of course got everyone excited for the SS18 showcase at the same time.
One sleep plus a few hours, it was finally the big day! And of course— it was raining. Yup, after meticulously planning a fantastic show, complete with a specially designed outdoor catwalk, the rain decided to make an appearance in sunny MIA. However, the show must go on! Working together with the team at Kulcha Shok Muzik, Princess and the Nine Mile Clothing crew thought on their feet and with a few adjustments (including a small relocation off the slippery catwalk and on to a much more model - friendly lawn), the Nine Mile Meets Miami showcase were back on track! Here are a few of the night’s major highlights!
Nine Mile Clothing SS18 makes a huge splash
The models ripped the runway in the new Nine Mile Clothing SS18 designs in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Wynwood Yard for Reggae Sundays! And boy, did they look bomb while doing it! The cropped hoodies and sweatshirts, swimsuits and of course the ever popular slides were on display courtesy of some of the hottest bloggers and models including up and coming influencer, Naeemah!
The stars were out!
After the showcase, Nine Mile Clothing fans were treated to a killer line up of performances to keep the vibes flowing all the way til midnight. Innavision came all the way from Hawaii and rocked the house while Yo Marley, gave the crowd an amazing performance that was made even more special by his surprise guest— JoMersa Marley! Julian Marley and Spragga Benz were also in attendance to lend their support to the Nine Mile Brand.
Welcome to Denise Belfon’s Wining School
The Nine Mile brand is all about one people, one love and we are happy to have fans all over the world! And as we all know it’s always a good time when Caribbean people link up so we were super happy when Soca star, Denise Belfon aka Saucy aka the Wining Queen came through and decided to give an impromptu bicycle wine class! After that, it was officially party time!
